3 men on a business trip go into a hotel, and each pay $10 for a room they are sharing. After they get to the room the hotel manager realizes he overcharged for the room; it should have been $25. He gives the bellhop 5 one-dollar bills and sends him to refund the money to the men. As he walks toward the room the bellhop slips $2 in his pocket. When the bellhop gets to the room, he gives each man $1. Here is the problem. Each man has paid $9 (ten at the counter minus the dollar the bellhop returned equals $9) for the room. The amount of the 3 men paid equal $27. When you add the $2 the bellhop has in his pocket, the total is $29. Where did the last dollar go?
