I was told I had a grade 2 spondilolithesis last April lately I have been feeling more and more lower back pain that switches sides occasionally. Then pain goes down into my knees which in turn makes it hard for me to do my job with out hurting. I was also told that if I keep in shape I shouldn't have any problems with it and that I wouldn't need surgery unless it progressed to a grade 4. How often do I need to get it checked out to make sure the grade hasn't progressed any?

Hi, I am a piano player and have been for about 25 years (I'm only 28). When I practice at length, there is a huge knot in my back underneath my right shoulder blade and my left wrist and shoulder begin to hurt. The soreness continues the next day. I warm up before playing by doing stretches and getting the blood flowing in the muscles I use to play. Is there any specific type of warm up I can do to prevent this pain? I play as a part time job and my income depends on my ability to play. I'm classically trained and my technique is proper, however I cannot avoid this pain from playing. Thanks!

I`m 40 yr white fm with a curving spine (right leg +- 7cm shorter) don`t wear a build-up shoe, often have back pain and "slipped disks etc) I don't limp only when I'm tired. I worked in the garden and must have moved something. I`m experiencing numbness to the right hand, Side and thigh now. I don`t have grip and have needles and pins. I get the sense of the hand feeling cold but to the touch its still warm. I cant afford a Dr don`t have a med aid fund and our towns hospital is in a horrible state. Is there a exercise I can do to relieve the nerve or some stretching? I tried hotwaterbottles and ice already and its getting worse. Its been like this for a week, please give some advise.

My son has a very awkward gait and runs awkward as well. It's almost as if he doesn't bend his ankles while walking. He also walks with his feet pointed outward. He has been to the doctor who at first told us that his joints were too "tight" and when we went back because the situation did not improve we were told his joints were too "loose". Any info would be greatly appreciated as the condition is still there and he is 8 years old already and it is still very noticeable.

For the last month now I have been waking up with a burning aching pain in my lower back. The pain is just about where the belt line is. Sometimes its in the centre of the lower back and other times it can be to the right of the lower back and also to the left (but not very often). Could this be lumbago? I cant think of anything of I have done out of the ordinary to bring this on although I have been under quite a bit of stress lately. Can stress be the cause of this and what can I do to remedy the problem? Thanks
