How do I calculate the extra cooking time required if I up a cake recipe for a sponge from 8" to 12" diameter. Do I need to cook for longer as I might expect, if so, how do I prevent browning the outside too much?

Hello could you please tell me what is the best way to cook beetroot? I love beetroot but have only eaten it from jars and prepacked. So I'm going to buy some of the one cooked kind, as it won't have as much salt and sugar as I'm a diabetic. I have a pressure cooker would that be useful? Youres truly Sammy.

I'm a very picky eater which limits my diet substantially. Its mostly the texture of food, not necessarily the taste. Due to a stomach condition, I cannot eat beans (except for green beans) or broccoli. I love veggies and fruits. I also love steak. I have issues with most fish and chicken. My question is how can I maintain a healthy well balanced diet? Fish like tilapia and mahi mahi are really good and I can eat chicken that's not on the bone. How do you cook such things and what sides are good with those types of dishes?

When roasting potatoes should they be boiled first and then roasted or just peeled and roasted? I'll be roasting a leg of lamb which will take about hour an half, should I put the potatoes in with the lamb at the start or half way through? Thank you Sammy.

Hello. I'm not very good when it comes to cooking, so what is the best way to roast a leg of lamb? Ive done it once before using pure vegetable oil, but is there a better way which will make it taste better? Also what would I use to season it, I used salt the last time, do you season at the start or halfway though the roasting? Thank you Sammy.
