Our small scotty dog escaped from our back garden, he went racing up to a woman with 2 bull mastiffs (both on leads) he was not aggressive, just wanted to play (hes only 18months)

Her 2 dogs went ballistic and pulled her over, literally dragging her along the ground!

Now she is claiming that she sustained injuries preventing her from working so she wants compensation.

While I take full responsibility for my dog being loose, is it fair to say that some of the blame lies with her for having 2 massive dogs that she obviously cannot handle?

Does she have a case?

hi I would like to ask you a couple of questions regarding my dog. I took her to the vet and sad to say it was that infection pyometra. They found a lump on her liver they told me she had cancer and the best thing for her was to be put a sleep . It was so hard but I didn't want her to suffer in anymore pain. She must of been in pain as dogs can't tell us if they are. I miss her loads.... I just wanted to thank you for helping me but in the end she had a lot more wrong with her and had to be put asleep..... thanks anyway.

Hi I would like to ask you a question about my dog. I just wanted to know that my dog hasn't been spayed does that mean she could still have an infection if she has a green and yellow type colour that's leeking from her vagina? She is eating and drinking.. so is that what it is, an infection?

The other day I had brought my dog out to my grandparents house, thinking that it would be nice outside. Little did I know, it was supposed to rain all day. I had to keep my dog in the car while I was there. When I was about to leave, I had noticed that my dog had torn the interior ceiling down and there was orange foam all over him. Does that make him itchy? Is it bad for him? Help me, please.

I would like some reassurance regarding the above dogs, I have a St Bernard called Jessy and my mum just got a westie called molly 5 weeks ago, they generally get on really well, but why does my St, Bernard try and pick up the westie around the top of the neck, the westie doesn’t cry and is all over Jessy, climbing over her tummy and just wont leave her alone, Jessy is very gentle with her and they play fantastically. They see each other every other day and from begin to the end all they do is play. IS this a mother thing or dominance thing? I’m a little worried about this. Do I prevent it or let it carry on, the westie is not afraid of her as she wont leave her alone. How do I react to this? I need some advice about this please.

Lucy is my 3 month old yorkiepoo that gets overly aggressive when she is mad and bites until she draws blood. I recently asked whether or not getting another puppy would be a good idea for her, and Diane Saffron said she didn't think that it was a good idea. I feel I should elaborate more on the situation. Lucy loves to be around other dogs. She plays well, runs around until she is tired, and learns that it hurts to be bitten. After having her around another dog, she is easier to deal with, does not bite us as hard or as often, and does not seem as aggressive towards us. I have also heard that if you do not get another dog early in a yorkie's life that they do not accept them as part of the family. We did go ahead and purchase another dog, as we received a great deal from the same breeder that we got Lucy from, due to the fact that Lucy is having issues. We got a Maltipoo named Charlie. The two of them are still getting acquainted, but seem to do fairly well when they are together. We do not leave them together for long periods of time, or alone unsupervised. Charlie is still small, and at times Lucy gets excited and is pretty rough. We are having a dog behaviorist come to our home to work with Lucy. Holding Lucy down and showing her who is more dominant does not work with her. She fights you pretty hard while growling and biting, which only makes you have to hold her tighter and longer. She will seem calm and then as soon as you let her go she will go for your face biting and growling. Saying no loudly or yelling at her only makes her more aggressive as well. Telling her gently no and steering her away from what you are telling her not to do also just makes her bite and become aggressive. We have been keeping her on a leash all the time, even in the house to show her that we control everything she does. We put her in her gated off area when she is completely out of control for a time out, but when we get her back out all it takes is us telling her no or pulling her away from doing something she shouldn't to begin the aggressive behavior all over again. My question is what do you do to teach your dog that biting until they draw blood is not acceptable without being aggressive towards them yourself? We have never hit her or tried to hurt her, but are afraid that holding her down may hurt her and make her scared of us. Showing her who is in control is not working. I need more advice and suggestions. We have tried nearly everything and nothing is seeming to have any lasting effect on Lucy's aggressive behavior. We are feeding her plenty and giving her plenty of exercise by running with her outside and playing games like fetch the ball inside. Please help us.
