Mr AMIT THAKUR
I am Amit Thakur. I am in love with a girl. We want to marry each other. Our parents are against this relation due to a number reasons like intercaste etc. We try our best to persuade them but for no use. Now girl's parents has taken her to some unknown place 1 month before. They have kept her in their custody against her wishes. I got a message from her from unknown number telling me to wait for her. They are so furious against this relation that they said they will prefer to kill her then to marry her with me. Now the question is - whether I have any right to relieve her from her parents custody legally on the base of her wishes to be with me and human right basis? If yes then how? I am an engineer in a govt. of India enterprise? does taking any legal action can harm me? Hoping for your advice at the earliest. Amit Thakur

I work at an Italian restaurant as a hostess and a server. One day when I had to go in as a hostess I wore jeans (stretch) that didn't look much like jeans. It was worn with a suit, and I got sent home to change. We recently got a new hostess that just started working there and she wore jeans and got to stay at work she wasn't even told that she wasn't suppose to wear it. She is white and I am black. The mangers are all white. Now is it fair to say that it is favoritizm, or am I just worried about nothing?

I was informed of a split pay rise in Sept 2007 by the new company that we tupe over to by email, the first part was given in Oct 2007 when a new tupe came into force. The 2nd part of the pay rise was due I informed the company by email on the 24/03/08 of the agreed pay rise. I received a telephone call at 1640 on the 22/4/08 informing me that this pay rise was performance related. I am an able bodied man of 33 married 0n the 10th of DEC. 2001. We have a four year old son. My wife, now 31, showed disregard for conjugal feelings off and on since our marriage. It seemed as if she was acting her role out and not responding in truth. But she pretended to be a duteous one before others. She would often insult me and then apologise and again do the same thing. Since the birth of my son, she started living with her parents and insisted on me living separate with her from my parents. I am the only son of my parents who are old and ill. She took away my son from me and for past four years, has hardly visited us. She went to my workplace once and defamed me. I resigned the job. She also tried to persecute me by help from other men. I FILED A SUIT OF RESTITUTION OF CONJUGAL RIGHTS IN 2006. But the case is delayed a lot with only one order from the judge for me to pay her a maintenance of rs.2000 a month with a litigation of rs.3500. Till date neither I nor she has been questioned in the courtroom. Now she has filed a diary in her local police station that I am trying to take away our son from her. I can neither see my son nor feel the bliss of a family. She is planning all evil against me only to put me down before her unlawful wishes. She always had relation with other men and is continuing with that till now. She leaves our son with her mother and goes out for the day working and enjoying herself outside. How shall I GET RID OF THE SITUATION AND SAVE MY SON FROM SUCH UNHAPPY CHILDHOOD?

Mrs Lakshmi Siripurapu
I am a female and was married in Aug 2006. before marriage my father and my self bought a flat. My father paid from all his savings and I took loan. I intentionally kept the flat as joint property with my name first as I was only eligible for the loan and second was my fathers. How ever my father was co applicant, actually I bought this flat for my parents only and some money of my sister and mother also went in but with no proof. I have only one sister no brothers. At the time of marriage as the loan was not fully cleared elders just said that I have housing loan and obviously guys people were impressed that its on my name solely. Until now after marriage also I paid all EMIs from my salary only. My husband moved into our flat saying that it will be convenient for me to commute to work place if the residence is near by. Now , my husband and mother in law said that the house is ours as a whole as I am married to her son. I was surprised but kept quiet. I dont understand how come my (Prev to marriage) own earned flat has become theirs when it is streedhan even after marriage and husband or in-laws are not eligible to have any hold on it. My father is retired now and is very sensitive. They don't have any other own house. He was a teacher equivalent when in service and spend major of his earnings for our education. please advice .

My son was arrested on a felony charge but not yet convicted. The night he was arrested, before he got out on bail the local police came to his house and took all of his hunting guns and his bow and arrow. These guns are nothing more than hunting guns that have been in the family for generations. There are no hand guns. Now we are having a hard time getting these back.

I work in the state of West Virginia as a video lottery employee. Last week I was handed by an employee an envelope. Inside was a First Warning letter stating that my boyfriend was no longer allowed to come to my workplace while I was working because management stated "he was distracting me and therefore I was not doing my job correctly." I have a problem with this because I work with all female employees and they have never received this type of letter. Of course, their boyfriends and husbands are at work when they are working. I find this totally unfair to me but if I don't sign the letter than they will terminate me. Do I have any legal right to fight this?
