In the USA a "shotgun" is being designed. It will not shoot bullets, will not be used for law enforcement, will not be aimed at people or animals. It will be used mainly by companies/organizations, more outside than inside and for a good purpose. So what will it be used for?

I can remember hearing about Trevor Bayliss clockwork radio a few years ago. A great invention especially for third world countries where batteries was scarce. How popular was they in those countries and is there still a demand for them today? Was the clockwork mechanism used on any other electrical appliances?

I remember watching the film Back To The Future and seeing the hover board. It looked great fun. I was wondering if anybody had been successful in making a hoverboard for real, after all technology as come a long way and it would have its practical side as it will still be able to be ridden in wet snowy and icy conditions. I would imagine even if you could make a board hover it would be very hard to stear and brake though. What are the major challenges to overcome in making a hoverboard for real one that can actually be riden properly. Is it possible?

I saw this in the Daily Mirror (nov 10th) A LIGHT WEIGHT PET STROLLER easy to manoeuvre - ideal for trips to the vet. Basically it looks like a pram (its even got a hood) and is designed to take your sick dog or cat to the vets, or if your dog as difficulty walking you can push him around in it. As far as inventions go even though I can see the practical side of it I don't think it will sell that well as it looks to much like a pram. You can get one for £49 Only! I remember being at work one day and an old lady walked past me pushing a big old fashioned pram, there was a cat in the pram lying on its back with some covers over it. All you could see was the cats face and paws the only thing that was missing was a dummy in its mouth. My question is what are some other inventions that at the time provoked a humorous response but actually went on and done very well?

When LEA & PERRINS sauce was first concoted it apparently tasted awful. It was only when the concoction was later found on a shelf that they found the mixture over time tasted completely differently and actually was very nice. What are some other inventions that came about through accident?
