Mr Donald Blue
I live in Charlotte, N.C. On 6/13/2007 I was the driver in a car accident. I did not receive any tickets and was not at fault. Yet, the passenger of the car I was driving is suing me for $10,000.00. The car I was driving in was going less than 10 miles per hour and the passenger has been in another accident in 10/2007. Furthermore, I am currently unemployed. Should I consult with a lawyer before responding to this civil summons?

I am a server and I was injured at work. Workman’s comp covers only 2/3 of a server’s claimed tips, which in my case is about $100/week (a far cry from my usual $500+/week earnings). Because of this I have decided to work as a host at my restaurant to earn slightly more money. My questions is, even though my company will be paying my emergency room bills and they will not be paying me with workman’s comp, does my company have to drug test me, and if so, how long do they have to do so?

Is it considered negligence if a store improperly displays a bed for customers to try out and a customer injures herself because the bed broke down when she laid upon it? I heard the employees mention that they knew the bed was not fully put together but there was no warning sign. Also some of the employees were using the bed as a hiding place for merchandise they were going to retrieve later. This injury aggravated a previous injury. This happened at a major department store. Is it worth pursuing litigation if so how much?
