Can anyone assist?? I have recently purchased a Nikon coolpix 4500 to use for digi scoping. I am trying to access (continuous) in the Shooting mode! When I scroll down using the paddle, the cursor flips from metering, to image Adjustment, missing Continuous mode!! Am I doing something wrong??? Pleeeeease help. This will only make sense to anyone who owns a Coolpix 4500 so I apologise for the gobbledegook if you haven't got one. Regards.

I`ve been asked to take some photos of a mates daughter who is 16yrs old. I am an amateur photographer and have never done this type of work before. He says she wants to get into modelling but hasn't the money to use a pro for her portfolio.!! I have a top spec camera/lenses etc but no lighting. Obviously I wont be charging for my services as it is an old mate so I need to keep the costs down to a minimum. Where do I start?? This link shows the sort of stuff I like to do..http://s186.photobucket.com/albums/x318/myphot osarehere/?start=40 Any help would be great thanks.

My Nikon D80 is superb, love it to death!! However I wonder is there anyway to alter my file names?? If I use another camera ie D70s and try to place the files in the same desktop folder, they say, "these files already exist". Fare enough I understand that bit, but don't know how to change the file names in situ if you know what I mean. Anyone assist? Best regards.

I have a Nikon d5o. And was so happy with the results that I purchased a Nikon d70s. AS far as I as aware it would take exactly the pictures, but gave me more camera facilities and options. It would also allow me the facility of not having to change lenses all the time. However, I have noticed when taking exactly the same shot with the same lens, with the same settings, I do not get the same results. I have talked to the shop and they start talking about algorithms or something like that. The d70s does not capture a true representation as the d50. The white balance is not the same neither are the colours. Does anyone have any ideas, I`m really confused. Thanks for any help.

We all know that red eye in photographs is caused by light from the flash reflecting off the blood vessels in the back of the eye. So why then, when we photograph cats or dogs at night do we get a green or blue reflection?

What is the most cost effective way of getting my already developed negatives scanned and put into a digital format? I need them to be of extremely high resolution. I am not looking for printing services. Just the digitization. It is not worth buying a drum scanner, I am looking for CHEAP but effective. Ritz offered to do a roll for $25 and I found that to be outrageous. P

Any basic tips of taking pictures of lightning. I have tried but been unsuccessful. I have a 4 000 000 pixel camera with a x 10 zoom. I realise there is a element of luck involved in catching the lightning at the precise time, but would appreciate some practical advice on the settings and technique etc for capturing that elusive picture?

I have a fujifilm S5500 finepix camera that I am more than pleased with and have taken some lovely pictures. However I tried to to take some pictures of the sun setting over a silhouette of some houses, the sky and the clouds as the sun was setting at that moment in time looked fantastic but the pictures I took at the time was very disappointing. The vibrancy of the rich colours against the clouds wasn't captured on film. I just used my camera on the normal settings automatic focus etc What measures can I take next time to try and capture what I saw on camera?

I have seen a poster of steel erectors high up in the air, sitting on a girder, drinking and having their sandwiches at break time. The girder is supported by a chain and looks to be about a 800ft solid drop to the bottom and they are just sitting there chatting away with out any harnesses and with out a care in the world. The poster is in black and white and came from an old photo around the 1930s possibly when they started to erect the high buildings, better known today as skyscrapers. Can any body tell me more about the history of this picture, how high up and what building they were working on etc ?
