I am in an emotional dilemma. My ex-husband and his wife are going to New York and want to take our children, girls, 15 and 17. The 17 year old is being punished for not following directions. He wants to take them the first week of school. I believe that they should not miss school and they have not missed a day since they have been in school except one or two sick days. I have had to raised my children for almost 10 years by myself until he decided to come back in their lives a couple of years ago. They children use the "play each parent against each other car". If mom won't let me I will just ask dad. So when they get tired of me they call their dad and ask him to do it or try an reason with me to get it done. We have not had a summer vacation because my oldest has been getting ready for college and I have been working trying to save up money to pay for all her senior year expenses. Her father is not even offering to help out on of that. He says he is taking them to New York to buy them clothes because they are cheaper their but yet he tells them to get some money from your mother so you can buy your clothes. I THINK he is only taking them to watch her two sons while they enjoy the town. Anyway, I need to know if I am doing the right thing by not letting them go to New York?

I am on income support and have a baby, however I do not want the Child Support Agency involved. They have contacted the non resident parent, so is it too late to tell the CSA I don't want them involved? How much will my benefit be reduced by as I understand there is a benefit penalty?
