Absolute Capital Management Holdings Ltd (ACHM) fund Absolute Germany Fund Ltd said it has suspended calculation of the net asset value (NAV) per share, all subscriptions and redemption into or out of the fund with effect from Sept 20.

The fund said the suspension has been implemented to avoid the fund incurring extraordinary trading losses from having to liquidate portfolio positions to meet high volumes of redemption requests lodged following the "sudden and unexpected" resignation of Florian Homm, the former co-chief investment officer of ACHM on Sept 18.

ACMH anticipates the fund will reopen to subscriptions/redemption's in not more than eight weeks.

In a separate statements, the Absolute East West, Absolute India, Absolute Octane, Absolute Return Europe and Absolute European Catalyst funds also said they had suspended calculation of the NAV per share, all subscriptions and redemption into and out of the funds with effect from Sept 20 until at least November 2007.
