I am using a css class "box". I want to change its attributes according to a javascript condition.

I use the following code in the tag.

If (a condition here)

}

else

{

box { color="#77893";

}

It is not working. Please help me correct it. I want to run it on page on load not on mouse click.

I am new to html and am having trouble. I have a mac and am trying to use text edit or dreamweaver. When I open the file in firefox it shows up as the original text I typed into text edit or dreamweaver in the first place. I have tried saving it under all the options given in text edit and it doesn't show my page. It words when I use notepad though but I would rather use dreamweaver. Help!!!

OK My previous question may have been missing some of the key details, so I'll ask again in hope of some one giving me an answer that I couldn't and didn't already answer for myself.

Yes, I have previously done that, resulting in the download of "XAMPP" including Apache 2 and mysql and loads of other features too, now I've looked into tutorials etc using good ol' Google and I've gone through endless lists of links to tutorials, they all appear at first glance to be really straight forward, however when I followed this one. http://www.phpfreaks.com/tutorials/40/0.php

I stumble after page 3, the gathering of Data, If anyone could offer me any advice (Not "use Google" "look for tutorials" etc) but real, good, easy to follow advice. I would be greatly appreciated. Thanks In advance
