My family and I are flying to turkey in a weeks time and we are not sure weather to take Turkish lira or euros for currency can you help?

Several questions arise. Where are you coming from? The U.S. or the EU? Turkey is not a member of the EU, so the question is, does Turkey more readily accept the Euro or the US dollar?
